Randy Villegas Announces Fourth Quarter Fundraising Haul of Over $370,000
Villegas Has Raised Over $875,000 Total, More Than Any Democratic Candidate in the Race Has Announced So Far
Kern County, CA – Today, Randy Villegas, candidate for California’s 22nd Congressional District is announcing the biggest fundraising quarter of his campaign so far.
Villegas raised $373,860 in the fourth quarter, more than any Democratic candidate has raised in a single quarter in this cycle, bringing his total amount raised for the campaign to over $875,000. With over 17,300 individual donations, he has been the top Democratic fundraiser in the race and is the strongest candidate to defeat Republican Incumbent David Valadao. Villegas has also been endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders, National Nurses United, and all four Democratic County Committee Chairs in the district.
Q4 Total Raised: $373,860
Total Raised for Campaign: $875,948
Total Number of Individual Donations: 17,334
Average Donation Size for Fourth Quarter: $39
Corporate PAC contributions: $0
Notably, Villegas has accomplished this despite not taking a single cent of corporate PAC money. Unlike his opponents, who have both taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in corporate PAC money over their careers from many of the same corporations ripping off working families like PG&E, UnitedHealth, and Comcast. Randy is committed to fighting for the people of the Valley, not corporate interests.
“This campaign is fueled by grassroots energy and I am incredibly humbled to receive such an outpouring of support from everyday working class people in this race,” said Randy Villegas. “Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to flipping CA-22. This is a testament to the momentum behind us. I am ready to deliver real results for our Central Valley.”
