NEW AD: In CA-22, Populist Democrat Randy Villegas Highlights Working Class Upbringing Which Inspired His Fight For Valley Families
“I'm running for Congress because it's only getting harder for families like mine.”
Bakersfield, CA – Today, Randy Villegas, Democratic candidate in CA-22 has a new TV ad running in the Fresno and Bakersfield media markets. The ad, which will air on English broadcast, highlights Randy’s working class background. “I grew up working right here in my family's auto repair shop starting in middle school, getting yelled at for holding the flashlight wrong,” Randy says in the ad.

Randy started out helping his family in the auto shop in middle school, eventually becoming a co-owner of the shop. As a small business owner and educator, Randy knows firsthand the struggles of working class people in the Valley who are paying more for gas, groceries, and healthcare. All of which has been made worse by David Valdao and his reckless votes to cut healthcare and SNAP, while supporting Trump’s tariffs. “I'm running for Congress because it's only getting harder for families like mine,” Randy goes on in the 30 second spot. “And corrupt politicians like David Valadao are why. They enrich themselves and their donors.”
