Randy Villegas Remains Top Democratic Fundraiser
Villegas Has Raised Over $1.4M Total With Over $718,000 Cash On Hand
Kern County, CA – Today, Randy Villegas, candidate for California’s 22nd Congressional District is announcing the biggest fundraising quarter of his campaign so far, remaining the top democratic fundraiser.
Villegas raised $451,251.21 in the first quarter bringing his total amount raised for the campaign to over $1.4M. With over 18,500 individual donations, he has been the top Democratic fundraiser in the race and is the strongest candidate to defeat Republican Incumbent David Valadao. Villegas has also been endorsed by Senator Bernie Sanders, National Nurses United, California Teachers Association, and End Citizens United.

Notably, Villegas has accomplished this despite not taking a single cent of corporate PAC money. Unlike his opponents, who have both taken hundreds of thousands of dollars in corporate PAC money. This includes defense contractors and weapons manufacturers who have provided David Valadao with a massive boost.
“I am the only candidate in this race not beholden to corporations,” said Randy Villegas. “It is disappointing to see David Valadao taking money from those that are profiting off of wars overseas while our families in the Central Valley continue to suffer. We need real leadership. I am ready to take the Central Valley with me to DC.”

Randy Villegas is a Central Valley native, auto repair shop owner, and a community college professor.
