Nonpartisan Election Forecasters Move Randy Villegas’s Race In CA-22 To “Toss Up”

Bakersfield, CA – Today, nonpartisan election forecasters at Inside Elections moved California’s 22nd Congressional District into their “toss up” category. The move shows momentum towards Randy Villegas’ campaign to unseat David Valadao, following his decisive vote to cut healthcare for nearly 70,000 people in the district.

The news comes a day after House Speaker Mike Johnson was in Bakersfield giving Valadao a pat on the back for voting in line with Trump’s MAGA agenda that has made life more expensive for Valley families.

“People in the Central Valley are fed up with higher healthcare costs, skyrocketing housing prices, and more expensive gas and groceries at the hands of David Valadao’s failed leadership,” Randy Villegas said. “Valadao has turned his back on us time and time again to give billionaires and wealthy corporations a tax break.
